Lace is one of those fabrics that was once held to a very high standard. Nobility were the ones who could afford it and it was held in high regard because of the intricate detailing and its rarity. That all change once the industrial period came into play and what was once a form of art/fashion started becoming more mainstream for everyday people. So imagine our forefather's dismay that I have decided to pair my
polyester lace blouse with jeans and a cropped military jacket! Fashion faux pas, non?
Well I hope not. As a matter of fact, I thoroughly enjoyed wearing this outfit for my running of errands. I may not have felt like royalty, but I was able to come up with something different from my usual looks. And lace is one of those fun fabrics that can be dressed down or up so easily.
So I hope everyone had a nice Veteran's Day. Being a child and grandchild of men who have served in the military I truly admire all that they sacrificed to make this country a little more safer.
