Blast these wretched dark evenings. I never make it home in time for photos before dark, so I'm sorry for the quality of photos this week. I think I'll be remedying this tomorrow, since I have the day off and can take pics outside during daylight. But for now here is my Day 3 look for the 30 for 30 challenge.
As for dressing myself for the 3rd day, I decided I wanted to use my ruffle denim dress as a base for my outfit, but it was much too short for work, so I figured I'd wear it as a blouse and then layer my wool a-line skirt for a more winter appropriate outfit. If I had left it at this point, it would've become quite the boring outfit, so I threw some color in for good measure. The mustard hat was laying at the bottom of my closet and it just seemed more fitting for it to be on my head instead. The cardigan was just another piece to add to the mix for some more color blocking and added warmth.
Denim dress, Ross ($10)
Wool Skirt, Thrifted ($4)
Hat, Target (Gift)
Cardigan, Forever21 ($7)
Belt, Fred Flare (Gift)
Heels, Thrifted ($4)
***Oh and lighting just wasn't working for my pictures of my real life clothes, so I made a collage of similar pieces for my 30 for 30 challenge. Love Polyvore for that!
what a great outfit. The chambray and the yellow...amazing! =)
ReplyDeleteI like the ruffle dress as a top :) It goes so well with skirts! The touch of mustard yellow is just so perfect :) Can't wait to see the rest of your outfits!
ReplyDeletei love the colors of your cardigan and hat. it feels so much like autumn. great choices!
ReplyDeleteSo cozy and cute!
ReplyDeleteThat's so clever of you to wear your dress as a top. You are a genius.
P.S. I love your beret! :D
This is a great outfit! And is that a belt you're wearing? Whatever it is is awesome.
ReplyDeleteDigging today's ruffled top. But can I say, for the first time I noticed the funky framed art you have on the wall made out of old wrappers. So cool looking. Did you make it yourself or buy it somewhere? I want one for my wall. - Katy
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for a mustard yellow beret like that forever! ..going hunting at Target later to see if I have luck :)
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit, This is actually something I would wear. Plus I have been looking for any kind of mustard yellow accessory and now I know where to look. *26 more days= shopping* ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the mustard hat on you! So cute! & thanks for the sweet comments, by the way! And I hear you, it's been so hard to get outdoor photos lately... I am trying to take advantage of days off & weekends, and get as many as possible to do me through the week! So frustrating!
