Falling for Vintage

Something about the weather really has been making me dress in vintage lately. I think it's because most of my vintage clothes are from the 70s and the polyester blends are not too keen with hot summer weather. Today was positively cold compared to what we usually experience at this time of the year. It was in the 50s all day long!!! And I was loving life. It really is the little things that get me excited and happy.

And sometimes, just a cute little vintage dress is what makes me happy. I found this dress at Wild Man Vintage when I visited a friend in Lawrence KS. I've worn it only once and rediscovered it hiding behind a few large coats in my closet. It was just begging to be worn today with my comfiest boots and sweater. At first I was a little hesitant to put this on for my bank job, but it got a good reception from most of my co-workers. Between you and I, I always get a little apprehensive about my work outfits. I'm not a suit person so I have to try really hard not to cross the line when it comes to office wear...or lack there of.

    I love this entire look! Very modern vintage to me. The black toughens up the lilac and you look absolutely dreamy. Ah, Fall.

    Yep 70s poly isn't ideal for the warmer months, and I too and loving the cooler weather just because of more wardrobe options!
    BTW, I love the look especially the belt. I may have to find one like that for myself!

    i'm scared about getting into more office wear too since i only own one pair of pants and they are part of my work uniform at the movie theater. that hat is darling on you! it started to rain here and i am LOVING the cooler weather as well!
