While I was driving to work today, instead of focusing on having a long day at work I started to think positively about the things that make me happy. Right off the bat, I was already enjoying my choice of a cd (The Lawrence Arms-Greatest Story Ever Told) and that put me in a good mood. Other things that put me in a good mood include thinking about an upcoming trip to the thriftstore, having a nice cup of coffee from a near by coffee shop, going shopping for Christmas dinner, and awaiting a good friend's arrival from Kansas. These are just random things, and I'm sure everyone has those odd things that make you happy just thinking about them. It helps the day seem more bearable at times.
Here's my outfit for the day. I wish that I shortened the skirt, but my sewing machine is acting up so I never got a chance to hem it, but it worked for today.
Today I wore:
blouse, Macys ($5) skirt, thrifted ($4) cardi, NYandCo (gift) pumps, TJMaxx ($40) Necklace, grandma (gift)

Love your outfit... and Lawrence Arms are amazing! We are too much alike! Wish we lived closer!
ReplyDeleteOh I know. We should just make mix tapes and see how many of the same songs we pick. That would be kinda funny. My cds have been in storage for about 9 months and now that we have moved I have them out and can't stop listening to them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wine colored skirt... Loved those delicate ruffles on your top.. :)
