The Industrious Weekend

sweater3

Today was pure excitement!! My friend and I decided a couple of weeks ago that we had too much crap just laying around, so we took it upon ourselves to set up a little garage sale and make us some cash. By the end of the day I made myself an extra $37 and cleared out a lot of stuff from my life. It felt pretty good! What's so funny is I have all this extra cash and I don't want to part with it yet. I guess that's like the kid in me. I worked so hard for this extra money, that I might just hide it in my dresser and save it up for a rainy day. Or I may just blow the whole thing on a trip to the thrift store!

The day is going to rounded out with a nice little couples dinner with my friend and her husband and of course Zach at a cute little restaurant that boosts an amazing menu fill with all local ingredients. It's basically a fancier version of our farmer's market meals. I'm hoping that I can make sure there's room for some yummy cold stone ice cream later too. Hmm... Maybe that's a more gluttony than I need in my life.

And my outfit is something I've been dying to wear for 2 weeks! Jasmine from Transient Withdrawal and I did a little swap for items we thought the other would like. She thought of me when she spotted this polka dot dress and I couldn't agree more! I love the simple print and really wanted to mix this sleeveless summer frock with something much more fall like. I think the weather has finally made up it's mind and decided to be fall now. Thank goodness!! And as you can see, I am loving my leather boots this week! I can finally wear them without feeling the need to pass out in heat exhaustion. Well I hope everyone's weekend is fun and industrious!
