Ok, so today was spent quite lazily working for 3 hours and then chilling out at home with my pup watching a fabulously horrible film, Paris When it Sizzles. When the billing includes Audrey Hepburn, I'm more than excited to give it a try, but this one was quite ridiculous...but it was meant to be. It was hokey, crazy, and a tad over zealous. Every film cliche is produced in the film (which is the ironic part of the movie) it just seemed in-genuine. Like Hepburn didn't really want to play the role at all. But it ate up a good 1 1/2 hours of my day of nothing and allowed my brain a break.
The hardest part of my day was wearing this outfit. I am wearing a dress underneath a skirt and the double layers on a 101 degree day was extremely unpleasant, but I do it for the challenge! I knew layering would be crucial in making these 30 different items into 30 different outfits, but I totally forgot all about the icky heat and humidity that would spoil the fun. I saw Jasmine from
Transient Withdrawal wearing tights yesterday and I was so jealous!! A little rain and cool air would be fabulous right about now. But never fear...our cold front will move in and it will be approximately 88 degrees on Friday. You heard right! 88 degrees will be our cold front. What kind of non-sense is that?
And holy moley! As I am typing away I noticed it is already 4:45pm! My half day is over and now it is back to reality. Zach will be home from work soon and then we will take Starla for a walk, I will make dinner and Zach will help with the dishes (which I should've done while on my halfday..hehehe). He will be pleasantly surprised that I left some for him to wash:) He will also be pleasantly surprised that the Mr. Goodbar I bought him today is already half eaten by yours truly. I'm such a good wife! Sharing is caring, is what I always say! Well, have a lovely evening! I'll be back for day four of this challenge and look forward to piecing together something much more cooler and breezier!

I'm really happy I read this. Yesterday I was looking at this black and white cameo necklace I got at a jewelry party but for the life of me I couldn't remember the brand. Lia Sophia! FEWF!
ReplyDeleteA lot of people are having problems with the heat when mixed with the layering required in this challenge. :( Just look cute in the air-conditioned indoors. ^_^

ReplyDeletei was going to say, "what a cute dress", then i realized that you said it was a dress under a skirt... i've done that... so unpleasant in 100 degree weather. but i love how you put it together!
