Talk about a full fun weekend! I have to say, one of the best parts of blogging is meeting all the wonderful people who participate in the lifestyle/style blogging community. A few weeks ago I decided it would be fun to get some of the local Virginian-based bloggers together and have a little movie viewing with tea and cookies. Amanda from Another's Treasure and Rebecca fromThe Clothes Horse were both able to make it and I'm so glad we got to know each other a little better. We enjoyed the film The African Queen and then talked shop about blogging and fashion interests and a little bit about our day to day lives. All in all it was a great way to spend an afternoon and I hope we can all do it again and have more local bloggers who are able to make it.
Aside from Saturday's activities, Zach and I got to spend an afternoon with Zach's mom. We decided to take her out to lunch for her birthday and then later on my mother in law and I got to spend the afternoon crafting Christmas goodies. I'm pretty much a Christmas junkie so making my own gifts this year is one of the highlights of my month. Another highlight to my month so far, has to be the pretty white stuff that is on my parent's deck. On Saturday night we were surprised by a little tiny snow storm and I decided it would be a nice little backdrop for a wintry outfit post. I tried to dress in layers to make sure I'd be warm today so I threw on a long sleeve vintage blouse, my boyfriend cardigan, jeggings and of course some comfy tall boots.
